About the Ireja Committee
The Official Committee for the Creation of the Interlingua Conlang "Ireja" was established for the purpose of international collective communication. We are dedicated to developing a constructed language that serves as a neutral, accessible means of communication across linguistic and cultural boundaries.
Our Mission
To create and promote Ireja as an international auxiliary language that facilitates understanding and cooperation among people of all nations, while respecting linguistic diversity and cultural heritage.
Core Principles
- Accessibility: Designed to be learnable by speakers of diverse language families
- Neutrality: Not favoring any particular language or cultural group
- Regularity: Consistent grammatical rules with minimal exceptions
- Expressiveness: Capable of conveying complex ideas and emotions
- Community-Driven: Development guided by collective input and consensus
Why Ireja?
In an increasingly interconnected world, the need for effective international communication has never been greater. While natural languages each carry rich cultural heritage, they can also present barriers to global collaboration. Ireja aims to complement, not replace, natural languages by providing a common linguistic ground for international discourse.
Committee Structure
Our committee comprises linguists, language enthusiasts, and representatives from various linguistic communities worldwide. We work collaboratively to refine Ireja's phonology, grammar, vocabulary, and writing system through a transparent, democratic process.
Get Involved
We welcome participation from anyone interested in constructed languages and international communication. Whether you're a linguist, educator, translator, or simply curious about language creation, there's a place for you in the Ireja community.
